Community Outreach Programs

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give" - Richard B. Gunderman

We have found that students benefit greatly—both academically and emotionally—from volunteering their time to make the community and world a better place. Community projects and programs at DPS Sushant Lok sensitize our young learners and instils in them a sense of responsibility beyond themselves to the country and to the humanity at large.

The Empassion club aims at inculcating in students several ways to reach out to human beings at the time of need. Infused with the spirit Service before Self ’, their prime objective is to bestow humane treatment towards all living beings. Ventures are carried out in pursuit of achieving cooperative mind sets. Planned activities such as Green-o-bin newspaper collection and recycling drive (offsite), Cleanliness drives (onsite), Collection drives of warm clothes during winters as Joy of Giving and Food-a-thons are some popular programmes that motivate our students to plan, organise and encourage participation. 'Under the Wings' - a joint project with Pragati school seeks assistance for electronic tablets to help students attend online classes during this pandemic time.

The Environment club - Prakriti focuses on the environmental and social well-being of the mortals. The students are sensitised towards the mother earth and the need to safeguard it for sustainable development. They are given insights into the lives of renowned environmentalists and their selfless work in bid to save the environment. The learners are also made to experience the 5 five basic elements of nature through guided meditation. Logos are designed by students to make their experiences memorable.
